Can I sign up for Bounce House today? What is the private beta?

 

Bounce House is currently in a private beta, meaning that it is available by invite only. To request an invite, simply enter your email address, and we will follow up with next steps. We are working with early beta users to refine Bounce House until it is ready to be used by all.



When will Bounce House launch to the public?

 

We are targeting early 2021 to make Bounce House available to everyone. If you want to be updated on our progress and alerted when Bounce House is ready, sign up for the beta, and you will be added to our mailing list.



What do I get with the free 14 day trial?

 

For 2 weeks, you will have access to the Basic plan. You can try and do anything that you would be able to if you were paying for the Basic plan. No credit card required to sign up.



Can I cancel my plan at any time?

 

Yes. You pay month to month, so if at any point you want to cancel, you will stop being billed and lose access to Bounce House starting the following month. There are no cancellation fees.






Service Web Pages



What does “maximum number of services” mean?

 

This is how many web pages you can create for the types of service that you may offer.

 

The basic plan has a max of 2, so for instance if you offer 1 type of 1:1 session and 1 type of group class, then 2 would be enough. But if you offer many different types of group classes or 1:1 sessions, then you will want the Pro plan (up to 10 services) or Growth plan (unlimited).



What’s the difference between a 1:1 session and a group class?

 

It’s just what it sounds like– 1:1 session is time booked between you and a single customer, whereas a group class is you with multiple customers. 

 

 

What are the home and contact page?

 

In addition to each individual service web page that you create, home and contact pages are automatically generated. Home includes an aggregate of all the services you offer, a bio, and social links. Contact includes a contact form for inquiries, which show up in Messages.

 

 

What is “limit capacity for group classes”?

 

On the Basic plan, there is no cap on group class attendees. However if you want to add a maximum number of attendees for classes, you can with the Pro or Growth plans.



Where can I add image galleries and videos?

 

On each service web page, you can add images and videos. The Basic plan includes 1 image per service, but add as many images and video clips as you want on the Pro and Growth plans.



How can I connect a custom domain name?

 

By default, you will be provided with the bounce.house URL of your choice. For example if your business is called Dance With Lee, then you would probably want dancewithlee.bounce.house and your various URLs would look like dancewithlee.bounce.house/classes/ballet-class

 

However, if you own a custom domain name, you can use that instead on the Pro or Growth plans. So if your custom domain name was dancewithlee.com, that same group class URL would be dancewithlee.com/classes/ballet-class.






Payments

 

What is Stripe?

 

Stripe is a secure payments platform that Bounce House uses for all credit card transactions, bank account transfers, and storage of all your customers’ payment information. Stripe is used by companies like Amazon, Shopify, and Zoom for their payments, so you're in good company!

 

To sell on Bounce House, you will be prompted to create a free Stripe account if you don’t already have one. It’s a quick and easy process.



What is “fast checkout for returning customers”?

 

Once a customer has booked a service from you, the next time they come back they can choose to use fast checkout. Fast checkout saves all their information, credit card, address, phone (stored in Stripe) so they don't have to re-enter every time.

 

 

What are one-off charges and payment requests?

 

If you have a customer’s credit card information saved, then you can send a one-off charge at any time. Payment requests are for customers whose cards are not yet on file, which will lead to a checkout link via email. 



Can I issue refunds? 

 

Yes, you can manually issue a full or partial refund to any customer at any time. If you cancel a class that customers have already paid for, they will be automatically refunded.



Can I set my cancellation policy? 

 

Yes, you can choose a window of time: 12 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours or 72 hours before an upcoming 1:1 session or group class in which if a customer cancels or reschedules, they will not be refunded. Outside that period, they will receive a full refund or never be charged.

 

 

What are the processing fees?

 

For the Basic and Pro plans, the processing fee is 5% of the transaction amount + a flat 50¢ (Stripe takes 2.9% and 30¢, and Bounce House takes 2.1% and 20¢). This amount will be automatically deducted in Stripe before funds transfer to your bank account.

 

On the Pro plan, Bounce House does not take any fees, but Stripe still takes its 2.9% + 30¢.






Calendar

 

Can I use the Bounce House calendar as my main calendar?

 

You should use it as your work calendar as it will contain all your upcoming 1:1 sessions and group classes and the customer information you need throughout the day. 



How do I manage my availability?

 

When you add a new type of 1:1 session, you will select ranges of time to make yourself available for that type of service, recurring each week. You can then manually adjust week by week, day by day, hour by hour, your exact availability as changes occur.

 

For group classes, you simply add new classes on to your calendar, and those times become available for that type of class.



Can I offer group classes or 1:1 sessions virtually?

 

Yes. For virtual classes, you can connect with Zoom to automatically generate a link, or you can use any other link of your choice.

 

 

What happens when someone books a group class or 1:1 session? 

 

You will receive a notification, and it will be added to your calendar. The customer is sent a confirmation email with a link to add the event to their calendar.

 

In addition, both you and the customer will receive reminders the day before and 2 hours before the event. If it is being delivered virtually, an email with the link will be sent to you and the customer 5 minutes prior to the start time.



How does the Zoom integration work?

 

If you connect Zoom to Bounce House, then any time that you select the location as “Zoom link”, a new Zoom meeting will be created automatically and the URL will be added to the event. It is the easiest way to manage virtual 1:1 sessions and group classes.



How does the Google Calendar integration work?

 

When connected, your Google Calendar events will show up in Bounce House and those times will become unavailable. So imagine you have a doctor’s appointment set for next Tue at 10am, and normally that time is available on your Bounce House calendar, now it would be made unavailable. Additionally, all your Bounce House events will show up in Google Calendar.

 

You can connect 1 Google Calendar on the Basic plan, up to 5 on the Pro plan, and an unlimited amount on the Growth plan.






Customer Management

 

What information will I have about my customers?

 

For each customer, assuming they have provided it, you will have their name, phone number, email address, billing address, home address, and their credit card information (you can’t actually see that, but it is stored with Stripe).

 

Additionally, you will see customer history of calendar (booking, rescheduling, cancellations), payments (paid, charged, refunded) and any messages via your contact page.

 

 

How do I import and export contacts?

 

You can import and export customer information via a standard CSV file.
